We are often asked if we guarantee our workmanship. This is a very easy question for an amateur to answer but is much more difficult for the true professional who understands the question at an even greater level than that of consumer asking it. When we clean a carpet or piece of upholstery, the true cleaning result could only be tested by a laboratory. The difference between one cleaning service and another may not be detectable by the human eye but it could be that damage could be done which is not visible to the naked eye and which may not manifest itself for months or years later through increased deterioration of the item cleaned. The only assurances we can give are that our technicians are highly trained (at our considerable expense) before they are let loose on the general public and that we adhere to publicly available industry standards. So our consumer guarantee is as follows:

Any VCRS technician attending a job alone is qualified to carry out the work he/she is undertaking through an industry recognised course and has passed the corresponding written examination and or practical tests where such examinations exist.

All VCRS technicians work to IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification), NCCA (National Carpet Cleaners Association), Woolsafe Organisation and BSI (British Standards Institute) standards and specifications where they exist and specifically:

Carpet Cleaning

  • IICRC S100 - Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Cleaning and Maintenance of Textile Floor Coverings.
  • BSI PAS 86 - (Publicly Available Specification No. 86)
  • Woolsafe WS1000 - "The Maintenance and Cleaning of Wool Floor Coverings"
  • Woolsafe WS 2000 - "Code of Practice for Professional Carpet Cleaning Companies"

Upholstery Cleaning

  • IICRC S300 - Standard for Cleaning and Maintenance of Upholstery and other Fabrics

Water Damage Restoration

  • BSI PAS 64 - (Publicly Available Specification No.64)
  • IICRC S500 - for Water Damage Mitigation of Flood Damaged Properties
  • IICRC S520 - Standard for the Remediation of Mould Damage.

All work is carried out to the highest standard to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Should there be any cause for concern regarding the outcome of our work, a VCRS technician will return to investigate and if necessary repeat any works to achieve complete satisfaction. (This is subject to realistic achievable outcomes which in any event would be discussed with our customer before we undertake the work.)

Our technician will be uniformed and will arrive on time subject only to unexpected traffic delay or mechanical breakdown.

Payment is due only on satisfactory completion of the work we are asked to carry out. Terms apply.
