Moth Treatments

Not all wool carpets are produced at the carpet mill with a treatment which reduces the risk of damage by moth and carpet beetle larva. If you are buying a new wool or wool mix carpet then you should ask if this treatment has been factory applied.

If not, we at VCRS “allclean” are able to provide a moth treatment on the carpet after it has been fitted in your home. This should be done before furniture is returned to the room as moth and carpet beetle larva will do their damage where you cannot observe them.

If you have a carpet which already has an insect infestation, then the carpet could be cleaned, treated with anti-microbials or pesticides, and treated to resist future damage. We are able to provide services in this area and recommend the appropriate action.
